George earned his Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Biophysics from Marquette University, and is now pursuing a PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Notre Dame. His undergraduate research focused on bioinformatics analysis of endothelial cell metabolism and the gut microbiome. He joined the Zorlutuna Lab in July 2019 and is currently working on the integration of immune response into the myocardium-on-a-chip model with respect to myocardial infarction.
